Applications for this years Spring AGF have officially closed and we will be sending note out to the first round of applicants in the next few days. We are excited by how many new and diverse applications we have this year. The hard part is deciding and wishing we had room for everyone. In an effort to do our best to help all our vendors do well on the day and our buyers walk away with purchases they are excited about, we have to ensure we have a balanced group of artists that are rotated to allow other artists a chance. That’s always the hard part. We are artists ourselves and know what it’s like to miss out on a show, it’s never fun.
I will let you in on an AGF secret, most of our applications are open even after they are officially closed so if you are here and haven’t submitted, go ahead anyway. If nothing else, we will have been made aware of your work for next time and you may very well be the artist we are looking for to round out our roster.
Next application open is the new show run in conjunction with the Irvington Folk Festival in June, it will be a fun day of music & art at Ellenberger Park and we are excited to be a part of it! Check that one out above!

It’s true! You read correctly! Amidst the snowmageddon of the past week we have all lived to tell another ‘remember the snow’ tale in years to come but now…it’s back to work!!

The 6th Annual Holiday Alternative Gift Fair has come and gone and we all lived through an expected blizzard that never actually eventuated. We braved slushy roads and slushy footpaths to load in brilliant wares for people to take home for their loved ones this holiday season and although numbers were down from last year, people turned out and left with arms filled with their new purchases. It was a fun, beautiful day that was made complete by the happy, smiling faces that turned out with their little red noses.
Thank you one and all for making this a favorite show of ours as well as many of our vendors and attendees. We are happy to hear feedback about, leave us a comment here and we will take it all into consideration as we begin work on our next show – May 10th…just in time for Mother’s Day!
Happy holidays to you and yours and remember, buying from a local mom & pop business helps maintain our economy, keeps art alive and well and sure makes you more good looking.
In 2 hours we open the doors for our wonderful vendors to start loading in and at 10am the lights will go up, the music will go on and the 6th Annual Alternative Gift Fair will take place!
Free parking is available at School 57 cnr Ritter & Washington and there will be plenty of street parking available too
Don’t forget your non perishable food donation for local area food banks and we will see your bright, shiny faces from 10am – 4pm TODAY!
